What personal data we collect

We only collect data that is necessary for the purposes described below.

  • Early-access email addresses. If you choose to join the early-access list, we collect your email address so we can notify you when the full WakeVan Power Plan launches.
  • Calculator inputs and results. We store the answers you give in the Power Check (such as appliance choices, travel habits and power preferences) so we can show you a preliminary estimate and improve the product.
  • Usage and analytics data. We collect anonymous or pseudonymous information about how visitors use the site, including page views, button clicks, calculator progress and traffic source information.
  • Attribution data. Where available, we record UTM parameters, referrer URLs and landing pages to understand how people discover WakeVan.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with WakeVan Power Check. Google Analytics processes usage data such as pages visited, events triggered, device type and general location. We have configured our implementation so that email addresses and other personally identifiable information are not sent to Google Analytics.

Supabase

We use Supabase to store early-access email addresses, calculator session data and related attribution information securely. Supabase acts as a data processor for this data. Data is stored with access controls and row-level security policies that limit access to authorised systems only.

Why we process your data

  • To provide the Power Check estimate. We process your calculator inputs to generate and display your preliminary power profile. Legal basis: performance of a service at your request.
  • To manage the early-access list. We process your email address to send you updates about the WakeVan Power Plan and to honour the launch-price reservation. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To improve the product. We analyse aggregated, pseudonymous usage data to understand drop-off points, feature interest and product quality. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving our service, balanced against your privacy rights.
  • To measure marketing effectiveness. We use attribution data to understand which traffic sources bring valuable visitors. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring marketing performance.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above. Exact retention periods are listed below where they have been finalised:
